Privacy Policy for Tally Counter

Last updated: 30-Aug-2026

Creative Bunny ("we") operates the Android application Tally Counter (the "App"), a tally counter that keeps a log of every counting session. This policy explains what data the App handles and why. It is written to match exactly what the App does.

Tally Counter collects nothing. It has no account, no advertising, no analytics, and no INTERNET permission — the App is technically incapable of sending your data anywhere. Everything it records stays in the App's private storage on your phone.

The short version

The App does not ask for your name, your email, or any account. Your counters, your sessions and every tap you log are stored only on your device. There are no advertisements and no third-party SDKs. We never see any of it.

What stays on your device

The App stores the following in its own private storage:

  • Your counters — the name, current count, step size, starting value, optional goal and colour of each one
  • Your sessions — when each counting run started and finished, what it started and ended at, how many taps it took, and any name or note you gave it
  • Your tap log — the time of every increment, decrement and manually set value, with the running count after it
  • Your preferences — theme, vibration, click sound, volume-key counting, keep-screen-on and the confirm-reset switch

This data is written to the App's private storage. We cannot see it, it is never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and it is removed when you uninstall the App.

Permissions the App requests

PermissionWhy
VIBRATEThe short haptic tick that confirms a tap, so you can count without looking at the screen. It can be switched off in Settings.

That is the only permission the App declares. It does not request the INTERNET permission. It also does not request access to your photos, files, contacts, camera, microphone, location, or advertising ID.

Exporting your own data

The App can export a counter's sessions as a CSV file, from History → the share icon. This is the only route by which anything leaves the App, and it runs entirely under your control: the file is written to the App's private cache, and Android's share sheet then asks you which app to hand it to. Nothing is sent anywhere until you pick a destination, and the App never chooses one for you. Once you have shared the file, whatever service you sent it to holds a copy under its own privacy policy.

No advertising, no analytics

The App contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK. No advertising identifier is read. No consent form is required because there is nothing to consent to.

Backup

The App permits Android's standard backup so that your counters and their history survive moving to a new phone. If you have Google backup enabled on your device, your App data may be included in that encrypted device backup, which is governed by Google's privacy policy and your own Android backup settings. You can disable it in Android Settings → Google → Backup. We have no access to those backups.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and its Play Store target audience is 13+. We do not collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Data retention and deletion

We hold no user accounts and no server-side copy of anything, so there is nothing for us to delete on request. You are in full control of your own data:

  • Delete one past session — the trash icon beside any finished session in History
  • Clear a counter's historyHistory → ⋮ → Clear past sessions, which removes every finished session and its log
  • Delete a counter entirely⋮ → Delete counter on the counting screen, which takes all of its sessions and log entries with it
  • Remove it all — uninstall the App

Security

Your data never travels, which removes the largest class of risk entirely. On the device it is held in the App's private storage, which Android isolates from other apps.

Changes

We may update this policy as the App changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date on this page. Were advertising or any network feature ever added, this page would be rewritten before that version shipped.
